There are a couple of new arrivals at Slot Car Club in what has been a busy time for the growing collection.
The first car to arrive is the final BTCC car to add to our collection. It is C4409 – the Honda Civic Type R from BTC Racing driven by Josh Cook in 2022.
Despite the main colour being black, we really like the livery with blue and gold. The real car was not a front runner but still did well at the hands of Josh Cook and Jason Plato. As with all our other BTCC cars, we have changed the tyres to those with logos on, which improve the look of the car completely.
The second car to arrive is C4415, the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Team Parker Racing, who raced in the British GT series in 2022.
Although the livery was not one of our favourites, it was a good price and makes a perfect stable mate for the other Porsche we purchased this year – the Porsche 911 GT3 R for Redline Racing (C4460).
We do like the Porsche series, so now we need to decide if we add it to our GT fleet of cars, or whether they should have its own ‘Porsche Supercup’ series, as the number of Porsche 911 GT3 R grows and would make a good accompanying series to the BTCC.
