After what feels like a very short amount of time, the Scalextric 2023 range announcement was upon us once more. Scalextric have really upped their game for this year with a huge number of cars scheduled for release. Overall, the new range has been well received by the customer base, although sceptics would note that some of the 2022 cars have still not been released, so will we actually see all the proposed new cars this year?
With another year flying by, it gets harder and harder to keep up with the new releases. In fact, we have not even purchased the cars we wanted to get from 2021, so the fact that Scalextric are also running late with their release schedule is helping us.
Another year has passed and Scalextric have released their 2021 range already. Not bad when you consider the world has gone through a pandemic and the wheels of manufacturing still seem to be turning and keeping to schedule.
Today, we are pleased to receive the Volkswagen BTCC car of Bobby Thompson.
Yesterday, Scalextric announced their new releases for the upcoming year. So how did our predictions fare and will we be happy racers this year? Read on and find out all about the new range.
We have recently added two more Scalextric cars to our F1 stable, which will be classed as the British American Racing team (BAR). They will use the Earth car which was raced by Jensen Button and Rubens Barrichello in 2007.
We have added to our BTCC collection with the Blue/orange Dual liveried MG of Rory Butcher.
We were greeted by a fantastic surprise today when the brand new Harrods McLaren F1 GTR was delivered.
We were happy to recently receive the latest BTCC offering from Scalextric, in the form of C.4015 Honda Civic of Chris Smiley. It was even more fitting that just a few days later, the sister car won the first race of the 2019 season at Brands Hatch.
We were very surprised to see a new Scalextric release from the 2019 range had hit the shelves already when we noticed the latest BTCC car was available. Knowing how fast the previous Pirtek BMW flew off the shelves, we were quick to dip into the Slot Car Club wallet and get this car into our hands before it was out of stock.
