During the recent Bank Holiday, we set about working on some new pit mechanics. As we will have quite a long pit road, we want lots of different coloured pit crew to fill up the pit lane and make it look really interesting and busy.
We were happy to recently receive the latest BTCC offering from Scalextric, in the form of C.4015 Honda Civic of Chris Smiley. It was even more fitting that just a few days later, the sister car won the first race of the 2019 season at Brands Hatch.

We were very surprised to see a new Scalextric release from the 2019 range had hit the shelves already when we noticed the latest BTCC car was available. Knowing how fast the previous Pirtek BMW flew off the shelves, we were quick to dip into the Slot Car Club wallet and get this car into our hands before it was out of stock.
Today we are pleased to see the new range for 2019 from Scalextric. So is it good news for our members at Slot Car Club or will it be another year of mid-table mediocrity for our racers? Read on and find out all about the new range.
It has been an interesting year for Slot Car Club in 2018, well certainly off track as our BTCC collection grows and all our cars are now catalogued. On track things still disappoint but here is our 2018 activities in review.
The new BTCC cars released by Scalextric in 2018 have just arrived at Slot Car Club. On a personal perspective, the two BMWs look fantastic, with Andrew Jordan’s bright blue livery looking spectacular, although the yellow wheels don’t quite hit the mark.
Scalextric have released details of their new product range for 2018 and if you are a BTCC fan then you will be in for some good news. There are no less than 5 new cars being released this year, with 2 BMWs, 2 Civics and 1 Volkswagen.
